By means of a macro lens I look to explore the micro reality of the skin that covers my sense organs, that is: eyes, nose, mouth, fingers and ears. I enjoy working with large compositions which invite the onlooker to be carried away into a world full of details and subtleties such as fingerprints, hair, pores, wrinkles, veins, textures and hidden colors found in the skin. My palette is mainly composed of pale and luminous colors rich in transparencies, such as the ones that occur in human skin of a white complexion. Each image has been amplified to such magnitude that it appears to be an impenetrable mass of flesh, but simultaneously allowing the onlooker to sink into the image through dark crevices -  leitmotif on most of the work - between fingers, teeth, lips and other orifices that create unpredictable escape routes.
